Haul Race! BMW i8 vs Lamborghini Huracan
What could be more joy than watching two of the worlds greatest supercars duke it out in a head to head all out race? The only thing that I can think of would be if the win was major upset. Last week we pitted the Lamborghini Huracan spyder against the BMW i8 hybrid in a haul race, and the photo finish showcased a shocking result.

How to open fuel door on BMW i8 Hybrid
The BMW i8 Hybrid is a phenomenal vehicle. Few vehicles on the road today can contest with its exotic design, and even less can boast the same amount of convenience for their driver and passengers. While the BMW i8 is a leader in many of these regards, it is not without a few quirks. One quirk in particular is frustrating to both vehicle owners and renters alike is the gooey fuel door that will leave you stranded at the pump.
In an attempt to produce “The Ultimate Driving Machine” BMW has pressurized the entire fuel system of the i8 hybrid. When you thrust the fuel door release button on the drivers door, a message will show up on the dashboard stating “Preparing To Refuel”. On infrequent occasion this message will stay on the dash, and the door will not open. If this ever happens to you, go after these elementary steps to quickly open the fuel door.
- Press the fuel door open button on the drivers side door
- View the message “Preparing To Refuel” on the dashboard. This message will likely be accompanied by a percentage
- Wait thirty seconds to see if this process will accomplish on its own
- Open the trunk of the vehicle. Trunk release is also located on drivers side door
- Liquidate access panel on passengers side of the vehicle
- Pull the green release tab
- Press the fuel tank door to pop open

Mahindra KUV100: An SUV for the Future Types
Mahindra brand of India has been busy creating concepts for their own burgeoning market, including the KUV100 SUV, their entry into the hatchback crossover arena. The company has been slinging photos of the rookie around Mumbai and intends to take on competitors like the Ford Figo, Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Suzuki WagonR.

The Mahindra KUV100 SUV will be suggested in both diesel and standard petrol, with no mention of an electrical or hybrid suggesting just yet. The brand launched the TUV300 earlier in the year, which looks very much like an Indian version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Because the swanky fresh KUV100 is still a concept, it simply looks cooler than its predecessor, but it may emerge fairly similar in production form—a perhaps smaller version of it. That said, it is significant for potential buyers to be realistic about what a concept vehicle is actually going to look like when it hits the market. According to director Pawan Goenka of Mahindra (which is actually named Mahindra & Mahindra, like an egotistical law rock-hard): “We are all set to create a fresh segment with the launch of the KUV100 which also marks our foray into ground up petrol engines. An ambitious project from the very commence, the KUV100, is all set to carve its niche amongst very first time car buyers with its unique propositions.”
So…is this what American automakers will be driving while they are living in India making the most of the economic auto boom?

Prize for Stolen Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Hits $100k
A two thousand fifteen Lamborghini Aventador roadster was stolen in Fresh York City, and the prize has since skyrocketed to a healthy $100,000. The white Aventador is valued at $795,000 and was last seen on October twenty eight th cruising the streets of Flushing, Queens. Was it begging to be stolen? Some may ask that very question, but it was a very unique car. Authorities feel the vehicle is likely in a shipping container or already gone because it would certainly stand out even in the stolen parts market.

What went down to lead to the Lamborghini theft is a mystery that the snoops at NYC private detective agency Pinkerton intends to solve with the higher than usual bribe money. It would seem that they indeed want this case closed before the holidays to suggest such incentive, or perhaps the holder is a pal of theirs. Either way, with the Lamborghini Aventador model still a head-turner and relatively fresh, it would be too hot for the underground rings and as the authorities feel, is likely already packaged up and en route overseas where it won’t stick out like a sore thumb.
For the adventurous bounty hunters, the only other info on the car as that it was parked near the Al Oerter Recreation Complicated in Queens. Reports indicate that a luxury car theft ring has been busy in Fresh York and Fresh Jersey lately, and arrests are beginning to be made in connection. The total number of arrests so far exceeds twenty but it is not clear if that ring has anything to do with this missing Aventador. A safe bet is that a buyer was prearranged and that the thieves simply packed the order, Rapid and Furious style!
