Not to worry. Very first we have had early release programs to put the perps back on the street sooner. Now, our enlightened legislature is going to do away with the bail system to put even more perps on the street swifter. I think it is all part of the utter employment for dirtbag lawyers program. Why should our representatives care about us victims when they can convenience the perps and employ more lawyers?

Dave, As long as the people of California keep electing corrupt politicians, this situation will remain, and will even get worse. These criminals embarked their criminal acts in Danville near the freeway on/ramps and off/ramps a few years ago. Now they are emboldened by the fact that nothing happens to them if they get caught, so they are expanding their criminal activities deep into Danville neighborhoods. The corrupt liberal politicians of California, including the futile incompetent idiot of a governor that we have, only support the criminals. They do not care for the victims. The money that should be spent on fixing the water situation and the safety of people, gets spent on the high speed train to nowhere. I am earnestly thinking about moving the family to some other state. California is screwed up.

And yet, even with a slight uptick in 2015, crime rates in California are near historic lows, comparable to the 1960s (and well below the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s).

Until we get the heroin problem under control. I am afraid these things are going to proceed. It’s very sad that nobody in this town is speaking of our children dying of heroin in the trip-valley and yes right in our home town of Danville. I am a substance manhandle counselor and am amazed at all the pushing under the rug this town does to hide a growing epidemic. Wake up or it will be your child next!!

Kam, good idea. with your devisive right wing rhetoric, I’m sure a budge to Texas would be superb for all of us! By the way, Governor Brown has been balancing our budget and lowering our crime rate to its lowest rate in decades!

@Mike: Balanced budget? Right, that’s like telling my household budget is balanced as long as I don’t budget for rent. Brown just asked for what, $54 billion in fresh taxes for roads and infrastructure? But the budget is balanced? And last year they demanded $7.Five billion in bonds for water sources? But the budget is balanced.
