Honda Civic Type R has been unveiled and will go on sale in July, with prices embarking at £30,995, enlargening to £32,995 for the GT version.
PCP car finance pricing has also been confirmed, with the fresh car being available for monthly payments of £299, on a three year Five.9 per cent contract, for the entry level variant.
Phil Webb, Head of Cars at Honda UK, commented: «As with the previous generation, we are fully expecting a big request for the Civic Type R.
«The order bank is already open and we are experiencing strong interest off the back of the launch at the Geneva Motor Showcase in March – and this is before our customers have even taken a test drive.»

When it goes on sale in July, it will take on the Ford Fiesta ST and VW Golf GTI.
Powering the fresh Type R hatchback is a Two.0-litre VTEC Turbo, which has been tweaked and uprated to produce 320PS with peak torque of 400Nm.
The optimised engine control settings improves the throttle response and drivability.

Pairing the 320PS engine is six-speed manual transmission, typical of a hot hatch, where you want to control all the power at your fingertips.
Honda has fitted a thirty eight per cent lighter shell on the car improving its overall torsional rigidity and the fresh Macpherson strut suspension helps to minimise torque steer and suggest a sporty response to the engine.
There are three driving modes which customises the suspension, throttle response, and treating – Sport, Convenience and +R.
Honda says that the car`s aerodynamics have been tweaked and improved and lightweight materials have been used to reduce the weight and haul while traveling at speed.
As with the outgoing GT model, drivers will benefit from blind spot information including cross traffic monitor, dual zone climate control, auto dimming rear view mirror, Honda CONNECT with Garmin Navigation, wireless charging, high power audio, and LED front fog lights.
