The Picnic went enormously well. Weather was beautiful, picnic area was nice and shady, and there were enough burgers and dogs to go around. President Jamie sends a special “Thank you” to all who came, brought food, and helped with the chores. Cooking, setting up and clean-up seemed to go along with lots of help. One hundred eleven cars paid their entry, and a little over two hundred people were there. I would like to especially thank Jamie and Mark for organizing and setting up tents. I’m not sure who all was cooking and serving the burgers and dogs, but Michelle Garcia and her sidekick seemed to man the grill most of the time; Jamie and friends were helping serve the meat. The GTO Club and the Rickshaws donated and raffled off lots of nice raffle prizes. And of course, thank you Bill and Mitch for dishing up the ice juices. All appearances were that everyone was having a good time. Thank you all for coming, helping and bringing food.

The Last Wednesday meeting of the NMCCC got under way right at 7:30. Present at the meeting were: Bill Lemen-Lincoln Club; Mark Terkeltaub-NM Pontiac Club; Robert Gold-Corvairs of NM; Jen Chapin-NM 4-Wheelers; David Merewether-Tin Lizzies of Abq, Jaguar Club of NM; Sue Nemeth, Andy Yoakum-Cougar Club; James Clements-Tumbleweed V8 Club; Larry Green-Route sixty six Rodders; Kelli Ballengee-Guest; John Hayne-Alb Horseless Carriage Club; Michelle Garcia-LOE GTO Club; Ron & Su Rymarz-OCCA, NM Cars & History; Joyce & Will Clements-Old Car Club; Bob Agnew-Classic Car Club.

While at the podium Joyce also mentioned the ballot that will be going out to Active car clubs with some tweaking and switches to our recently switched by-laws. Yours truly was introduced to discuss a fresh recommendation pertaining to ongoing Car Council expenditures. Look for these ballots in the mail and please vote and comeback to us as soon as possible. Jamie then took to the floor to discuss the upcoming All Clubs Picnic. Which was another successful production. Thanks to all that pitched in with goodies and those who volunteered.
