The standard non-airbag variant scored zero for adult occupant protection and one starlet for child occupant protection. The dual airbags version with two pretensioners performed considerably well. Together with the seat belt reminder for the driver, the sub-4 metre sedan from Tata scored an extraordinaire four-star rating for adult occupants

The Zest is a big step up for Tata Motors be it design, interior look and feel or quality. The fresh 1.2-litre turbo petrol works well and with an AMT transmission for the diesel variant, Zest now becomes the cheapest diesel automatic one can buy. It is undoubtedly worth a look in.
